Had such a fun day! Allan was singing with his Gaelic Choir in Inverness so we drove up and I went on to Mum and Dad's. Great to find Dad busy in the garden cutting hedges and Mum was off to the supermarket with my sister who was up for the weekend.
After lunch and watching the tennis on BBC Marjory and I went down to the High Street! So many of the old shops are now closed but thankfully most are full of something. There's a new one called 'Anything and Everything' and what a find! It was better than any Bargain Hunt I have seen on TV ....and I found this sweet doll.
Now when you buy yourself a doll (at fifty-something) some people might wonder. But she had such lovely blue eyes and stood out in the row of others, and was only £5................................
I also bought two Royal Worcester flan dishes and a gorgeous ginger jar.......and only spent £13 in total! Beat that Bargain Hunt!
Three good things
1. Lovely drive north and home again at the end of the day.
2. Good catch up with my sister as well as Mum and Dad.
3. Fab fish and chips at Forres on the way home.
She is very beautiful....what fun to treat yourself Sallie & not spending much means you have no guilt trip!
When my father was stationed at Lossiemouth we lived at Forres & my brother was born there.......I ca remember the area especially Grant Park...I have photos of me crawling in that park!
Love your pretty new doll, sounds like a most fun shop. I understand your doll purchase, I still do that for myself on occasion (and I am older than you).
