Mrs B's Christmas Bag by sarah19

Mrs B's Christmas Bag

I don't know how I did it but I adapted my red M&S shopper (which is rather old!) in about half an hour after breakfast! It's amazing how quickly you can do things on the sewing machine when in the mood!
This is full of the books from yesterday's picture and the children were rather charmed at the idea!
We counted that there are only 15 days of school before we close for the holidays!
Three good things
1. Sewing machines - I'd be lost without mine even though there are times when I really don't use it much.
2. A great day at school despite the fact that three of the classroom assistants who work with me were all off today! Thankfully there were two others available, one for morning and one for afternoon!
3. Curtains closed and Allan is making tea!
A very nice piece of work it looks very festive

Love your bag - how did you do it? Is it a cover over the original bag?

Thank you and Judith it is just one of the felted kind of bags M&S did a few years ago with a strip of Christmas cotton machined on to the upper part. Certainly changes the bag for the purpose! 😊

You're a genius! I think the secret is to have the sewing machine permanently on the dining table like my mum's always was!

@judithg hee hee, you should see my dining room right now! Had Allan up in the loft for Christmas boxes as all the family home for Christmas and need to make two new stockings to match our original family ones. Couldn't remember the sizes etc! Pins, fabric, trimmings, paper, debris and lots more.......and I'm going away for weekend to my mum's. Maybe just as well and Allan will ignore it all as he only goes in there when he fancies one of his malt whisky collection! Thanks ....made me smile.

@sarah19 Just about to get mine out - will have to shove Adam's art to one side! Who said tables were for eating?
