Lovely catch up with friends this afternoon. Actually our daughters were great friends at school and still keep in touch with us /them when they are home for any length of time.
Laura started making this cake every time she went to see Maryam and her family and sometimes asks me to take one over when she can't be here herself. Everyone loves it and today's guests were delighted to take a good chunk home! We couldn't possibly have eaten it all!!!!
Three good things
1. The garden was very well watered with heavy downpours this morning.
2. Birds singing outside....blue skies and sunshine.
3. Large ironing pile cleared!
Must be a good cake Sallie, unusual shape it is too. Lovely to still keep in touch after your children have grown up, you will have lots to talk about!
