So lovely to see them even for a short time. Last night they arrived at Mum's to see me, full of life after a day at the West Coast. Today they were swimming in the sea and some golf practice afterwards.
They are such an extraordinary bunch, full of confidence and fun and very affectionate. Always up for hugs even at what's so often an awkward stage!!
Sheila and I had fun making a meal together and everyone enjoyed it all.
I had them all sitting on the wall before getting in the car to go back to their holiday apartment in Dornoch and a very early start tomorrow, heading back to Surrey. It's good to be here with Mum after they have gone.
Three good things
1. A late sleep which I really needed.
2. My brother came to visit and cut the hedges for Mum. We also worked together clearing a rather weedy area! Talking and working was lovely.
3. New potatoes for dinner. A little small because of the drought I think but ver tasty.
What a great family you all are, caring for mum & all mucking in together, your dad & mum brought you all up so well! I have guilty memories of your lovely sister & family so it's great to see them here all growing up & so many smiles. My regards!
Thank you for the lovely comments
