Christmas cactus opening early, rose buds from the garden, Allan's half finished crossword and an empty chair...he has gone to pour us a G&T!
Three good things
1. Birthday lunch get together with Jonathan and Sarah- her birthday was on Wednesday.
2. Haddock in coconut...
instead of breadcrumbs and fried in butter. We recommend it! Sister Kate made it when we were up north. 😊
3. Superb documentary 'A year in the life of the Tay' ...the longest river in the UK and not far from here. Best TV we've seen for a long time ....BBC2....must watch again on iplayer!! Totally awesome.

The perfect day then .....all’s well with you & family. Happy birthday to Sarah. I was so tempted to watch that about the Tay....I saw it was a repeat but had not seen it before. We have no recording method while we are camping out here but will try & catch up on iPlayer. It clashed wit the dancing!
