down comes the leylandii by sarah19

down comes the leylandii

At last!!! Not quite finished as it was over 50 feet high!
And what an amazing space is at the bottom of the garden now! I just saw the top come down when I came home for lunch. It has been such an eyesore for years and this time last year we had storms which rocked a few of the trees down there! Will be interesting to see how things change without it! More light anyway!
It will certainly et the light in, and give you more scope for planting

Gracious this will make a massive difference to the light situation but sad in a way, will you lose all your privacy? You will have lots of wood to burn!

What an undertaking but so much better without it!

Great capture of a significant event. I bet before long you will have forgotten what it was like having it there.

You always document the everyday so well. Room for more plants? Yay!

I like how you have documented this event in your collage. Very well done. What a lush green garden you have.

Amazing collage and how you told the story via photos.

I must have missed this one - it's beautifully done. I wonder what they do with the wood as it's not much good for wood-burners?

@busylady it was a big job! but the guy who did the job took most of the greenery away in his trailer and one of our friends came and took the bigger sections to use. We kept two sections to use creatively!!! Not sure when though!
