Celebrating the carrot crop! by sarah19

Celebrating the carrot crop!

So happy to record my success with carrots. This is my first time and mum wasn't too keen when I said I was planting them as Dad had given up several years ago due to carrot fly attack!
Well here we are....sadly Dad never did see them but Mum is very impressed so looking forward to Sunday lunch tomorrow!!!!
Three good things
1. Early morning gardening
2. Shopping with Mum and friend.
3. Sister and brother in law here tonight too......what a lot we've got
And must add 4.....Laura and Iain are in Scotland and heading our way on Tuesday 😊😊
Oh how lovely, home to see family, you must be so looking forward to that! Very straight carrots Sallie! Your dad will be clapping from on high! Perhaps a rested soil was a good thing to scupper the carrot fly!

@happypat thank you Pat for your lovely comments! I love working in 'Dad's garden' and that was just the first time I didn't have him popping out or doing some things nearby....but we all feel we should keep a strip for vegetables after all the work he'd put into it over 60 years!
