@tristansmum Stephanie it was not a halo, It was a kind of weather thing that happend. Something about the moist and the temperature. It happend in South Afica and I do have a cut out of a news paper. Must just check where it is and I will report.
@sdutoit I @tristansmum I had a look on the internet. The clouds are called cirrus clouds. The ice particles in the sky reflects the sun and then you see a rainbow effect in the form of a circle. This is the best I can explain. (ha ha in English!)
I think they call those circular light orbs "sun dogs", but I'm not sure as most of the ones I've seen were taken in snowy conditions. Usually the challenges and themes require that the shot be taken during the designated time frame, but it's good to post an old shot if you don't have a current one. This works well for negative space- good shot!
