...some days are stone

Still standing in for Gail in her Estate Agent business, but all I can really do there is answer the phone and take messages until she's back on Monday. So I had more time to play with the miniature rose plant she has there waiting to give someone as a gift. I wanted to try and improve on yesterday's photo, try some different angles and tidy it up the composition a bit, so I took about half a dozen shots between phone calls and people, but somehow none of my shots today felt quite right!
This is lovely. You should help your friends more often! ;)

Oh I do like a bit of water droplets!

@bf2016 Thanks Barbara. LOL. Actually all my rose photos are as a result of helping friends .... but now I'm looking for a nice rose bush to plant in my front yard. I'm being fussy. I want one that has photogenic flowers and also has a nice old fashioned fragrance, and all the new hybrids available around here seem to have pretty flowers but no smell.

@anniesue Thanks Annie-Sue. Water droplets are great, although I do sometimes think they are so cliched, but I was looking for ways to make it different.

@seacreature I know what you mean about cliche, but as a way of adding contrast between surfaces and emphasising the texture of the subject I think they work a treat ;-)
