Another building from yesterday when we were lost. We knew we weren't in a great area so didn't get out the car to take photos, but didn't realise we were actually in danger until a police van drove up. I got out and spoke to this amazingly friendly and wonderful policeman who restored my faith in their profession - he reminded me of the bobbies we trusted so much as children. He explained that this area was very dangerous (gang fighting), and asked so politely if we would mind allowing him to escort us out. It was only looking at my photos at home that I saw this building has a camera mounted on the top of it (out of sight in this photo), and the city security had probably observed us there and sent the police van in for us.
Woah! That really is a scary area!
A fabulous piece of street art though. Love that you’ve captured the clothes on the fence and the car being worked on... really adds to the atmosphere. Great service from the police - so glad you are safe.
