Cape Cormorants by seacreature

Cape Cormorants

We get a few different species of Cormorant here. I believe these birds with the blue eyes are Cape Cormorants, sitting on the ropes for a mooring in the marina. As far as my zoom could reach, and the photo is still cropped to about half its normal size
Good zooming and cropping! Nice composition

A fabulous shot of them. Not only the eyes, but also the beak seems different. We only have the red eyed one here.

@narayani Thank you

@ludwigsdiana Thanks Diana. The ones you are seeing with red eyes could be Reed Cormorants or Crowned Cormorants. The Crowned Cormorant, as the name suggests, has a little top notch of feathers sticking up just above its beak

I don't know if I"ve ever seen a blue-eyed bird before. Excellent capture!
