My street, normally a busy thoroughfare, is deserted, as indeed it should be. We're not even allowed out for exercise, so when I opened my gate (house on the left with the brick paving) and walked a little way down the road I felt like a naughty child and almost expected the army to arrive out of nowhere!
@narayani It is supposed to be total lockdown except that are allowing people to shop for food or medicines in attempt to prevent the panic buying, I think. We have been told we are not allowed to walk dogs out, or jog or any other exercise. I know we are only into Day 2 now, but so far it seems like a gift to me. A gift of time to just unwind and replenish my soul. The dogs are missing their daily walks and can't understand why I am not taking them out, but I will swim them up and down the pool instead, and play ball with Holly.
Haha, amazing how things take us straight back to our childhoods! So far we are still allowed out for exercise, I felt like a criminal when I drove to my elderly fathers home the other day, such strange times we are living in. Stay safe and well
Like you I am very happy about the lockdown Desi! It is the only way to try and get this virus under control. I just cannot see it only lasting three weeks though!
@365anne Yes it is amazing - I guess what we were taught as children is lurking there in the background long after we grow up. @ludwigsdiana Yes, I can't see it lasting only 3 weeks either. I do believe we will find ourselves in lockdown for a lot longer than that. @anniesue It is strange. Very surreal. I am so grateful for the home and garden in which I live. There are so many people in our country in little shacks
