Went wrong

Horribly wrong. But at least it will grow again eventually. The result of miscommunication...I speak English. She speaks Afrikaans

Went to a new hairdresser cos my normal one emigrated to England. Asked for her to trim around my face and the nape of my neck. She asked if she could use the razor so I said yes because my old hairdresser used a razor just around the nape. Next thing I see she's applied the razor like one does a man's cut right up the back of my head. I hate it but at least it will grow again and next time I will take a picture to communicate.

An accidental new look - I like it, you look very chic.

@pattyblue Thank you. I just don't feel like me when I see myself in a mirror... but determined to see the bright side - yes it is an accidental new look and one I wouldn't have tried knowingly - so perhaps I will grow to like it. I'm going to save on shampoo and conditioner - so little hair won't require much. And I will save on electricity as there is nothing to blow-wave. Wearing a beanie, or being caught in the winter rain won't be a hair styling disaster.

@seacreature so many positives, I like your thinking. I think it will be quite liberating to get out of the shower, rub it with a towel and comb through - job done!

@pattyblue LOL. Yes you are right!

won't it be funny if you end up loving it and keeping this new style?

Well you’re still smiling Desi and finding lots of positives so that’s a good thing!
I had mine shaved to a “number 4” all over once and found it really liberating. 😉

Oh Dear!! Fortunately it WILL GROW!!

@koalagardens Yes absolutely. I may get used to it yet
@narayani Thanks Narayani. Liberating is a really good word - and a good attitude to adopt - especially when summer time comes around and I am not so cold, or wanting to go for a swim then I won't have to worry about my hair if it is still short like this!
@777margo Absolutely. That's what I felt. And I like Narayani's word liberating

I'm a short hair fiend...and have it cut every 3-4 weeks. With LockDown...it grew longer than I'd ever had it...since my mother dragged me to the hairdresser (Mum used to be one) many, many moons ago. It's now turned a silvery colour which I rather like. You may grow (groan!) to like it. It must be hat season in your neck of the woods...enjoy the transformation and/or re-growth ;-)
