Another part of the 180 degree view from the bedroom and balcony of my Cape Town apartment. Was back in Cape Town again today meeting the contractors who had come to quote a couple of weeks ago, to start getting some of the repairs done after a terrible tenant experience.
Fabulous shot of Woodbridge island, used to play a lot of golf on the right at Milnerton GC. Hope you get it sorted out soon and that it does not cost the earth ;-)
@sunnygirl Thank you Mallory @777margo Thanks Margo. I don't live here - this is an investment property I own in Cape Town and was renting out. I used to do holiday rentals when we lived on Woodbridge Island over the bridge, but when we moved 150km up the coast we rented to long term tenants instead.
@ludwigsdiana Thanks Diana. It is going to cost the earth I think. Just the little bit I have done so far has cost me R10,000. Tenant, probably in a dagga induced state, drove into the side of the garage door, almost breaking a hinge on one side, and damaging the door frame. He also managed to break the garage door motor. So all of that has been replaced. Window catches all broken. And aluminium windows not opening easily due to accumulation of dirt, mould etc. so those have had to be repaired. And that is just the start!
@narayani I possibly would one day, when I no longer have dogs to worry about. (No dogs or cats allowed in that building). When we left Cape Town to relocate to Port Owen, Don wanted to sell that flat, but I said I wanted to have an option to move back again if I ever wanted or needed to. It was kind of my psychological "safety net" that I needed to leave the place I had thought I would only ever be carried out of in a box.... I would have agreed to selling if we desperately needed the cash flow, but it has been earning an income up until January this year
