WATCH | UCT buildings destroyed, students evacuated as runaway veldfire rages on
So so sad. Not my photography, and I am not even there at the moment, but I feel such a strong sense of connection to "our mountain" and the historic places and building there. To see that wonderful UCT library ablaze, Rhodes memorial and Mostert's Mill gone, to think of all the homes evacuated and the all the animals that are being burned - from field mice to dassies, buck, and baboons just makes me cry ...all because vagrants had nothing to lose and were starting fires across the mountain
