And no the photo is not sideways. The twig is almost vertical and little birdie is standing out sideways as easily as if he was standing upright. I guess he weighs so little that gravity is of no consequence.

In my old Roberts (which I have to admit is out of date as it was a gift to my husband when we were newly weds about 40 years ago), the Lesser Doublecollared Sunbird is also called Klein-rooiborssuikerbekkie or Nectarinia chalybea and is bird #783.The Greater Doublecollared Sunbird is a larger bird and has a much bigger red band stretching half way down its chest. Nectarinia afra #785. Perhaps I should take a photo of the plate with the pictures of these two and post it in an empty day?
