Lesser Double Collared Sunbird by seacreature

Lesser Double Collared Sunbird

And no the photo is not sideways. The twig is almost vertical and little birdie is standing out sideways as easily as if he was standing upright. I guess he weighs so little that gravity is of no consequence.
Wow! Gorgeous!

Wonderful capture. I know of a Greater double-collared sunbird Desi, but never heard of a lesser before?

@narayani Thank you
@ludwigsdiana Thank you. In my old Roberts (which I have to admit is out of date as it was a gift to my husband when we were newly weds about 40 years ago), the Lesser Doublecollared Sunbird is also called Klein-rooiborssuikerbekkie or Nectarinia chalybea and is bird #783.The Greater Doublecollared Sunbird is a larger bird and has a much bigger red band stretching half way down its chest. Nectarinia afra #785. Perhaps I should take a photo of the plate with the pictures of these two and post it in an empty day?
