On February 5th Fox Hill was covered in snow and the whole village seemed to be up there with their sledges.
It looked a bit different this afternoon bathed in sunshine with rain clouds overhead. We have had a months rain in 5 days. We needed it, but it is playing havoc with the cricket season!
So beautiful!! Love the contrast. This picture speaks to me. Makes me want to go out smell the wind and walk through the flowers. Love it!! Totally Faved!!
Oh wow. This looks like something I might expect to see in a movie. The contrast in color and mood between the sky and the field is stunning. Very dramatic. Awesome capture, Sean!
@thebluegnu Thank you ever so. I am delighted that you love it enough to fav it. When I look at your work I see an incredibly creative mind, so to get such a response to my shot from you has plain and simple made my day.
Beautiful shot, perfectly exposed and maintaining the vividness of the oilseed rape and the drama of the sky this is a wonderful shot. I've been wanton a drama shot of the golden fields and dramatic rain clouds for the past few weeks but I can't expose it correctly at all my shadows are too dark and I lose all definition and detail in the colours. But well done to you!
Just Stunning Sean! The color's are Amazing! I dont know how i missed this one last night ..I get so busy commenting and thanking everyone and answering questions..and posting ..I am missing the Best Photo's!! This is a Def Fav! Would have been one yesterday if i had just had a chance to view it before i passed out!! lol!
@hasselhotch Cheers David. I tend to underexpose by a stop or two to get the detail in my skies, so I waited for the sun to shine on the field from behind me, and a iny tweak on CS5, but only a tiny one!!! Thanks for the Fav!
Great combination of two strong contrasting colors! What a sky - can't really believe it - some extra editing in there? It is fabulous either way! Fav!
@bubbaloooo Thanks Matthew, the reaction to this photo has stunned me. I am thrilled that it is liked so much. Thanks ever so much, especially for the Fav.
@peterdegraaff Thanks Peter. Congrats to you for getting in twice! Your seascapes are unbelievably good, so to get anywhere near you is a personal triumph!
@ozziehoffy Thanks Cassandra, yes I spotted it late last week, I am knocked out by its success, as I just mentioned to Lisabell. Puts me on a par with both of you, and many others whose work I love.
@rachelmackenzie Thank you Rachel, I am glad that so many people have liked this shot. From nowhere, it has become my most popular shot so far in this amazing project.
Sean I can't believe I haven't been following you after all this time... Slipped up somewhere there. Just found your pics on the Around the World posts and have caught up on a lot of your beautiful photos. You live in a beautiful part of the world, I love the Midlands of England, and you've captured them in many different and unique ways. Looking forward to seeing many more!
@24atlantic Well that is both very kind of you and also very flattering Megan. Some of your photos are amongst my favourite ever photos by anyone, so to hear you say that is quite humbling. Thank you.
