Floods.

It has rained so much in the last week. My Nikon was playing up today so this is a P&S Shot.

The River Soar is in flood for many miles through north Leicestershire. This Pylon is normally 200 yards from the river.

A sort of, "How do I follow yesterday?" shot. Answer, "I don't even try to!!"
Very nice Sean. I like the pattern of all the lines, and your processing.

Cool shot Sean, I like the composition and the lines. Sky a bit overprocessed for my liking though.

OMG that does look a bit serious. Its May now so surely the weather realises its supposed to stop with the April showers...

@primitiveprobe Thanks Andreas. I know what you mean, the sky was very washed out, prob fiddled too much!

@fueast Lots of floods in The Soar Valley, but a lot of flood plain to soak it up.

Oh dear - that is one serious puddle under the pylon - sums up the weather quite nicely ...

I do like the overprocessed sky, it is like looking through an old TV screen (before flat screens.....ok I'm not 20 any more !).... very interesting !

I like the way the power lines and tower contrast with the sky.

Cool composition! Love the lines. And that is a lot of rain! We've been getting more rain than usual too. But the heat doesn't let up at all.

Wow that is a lot of water ! Great Lines..Like it in black and white!

This reminds me of someone wading in water, up to their hips, with their arms out and their breath taken because it's so darned cold!!

I think those yesterday shots only come alone every now and then. But still a great shot today.

I love the way the grey colour complements the geometric shapes of the pylon and power lines.
