We have a series of adverts in the UK for an insurance comparison website called go compare.
They feature an opera singer singing a version of the George M Cohan song "Over there". They are dreadful. They are cheesy, they are truly awful. If you don't live in the UK and want to see for yourself.
LOL! Great Shot! or Maybe he needs to be Shot! he.. he.. he.. I cant stand cheesy advertisement especially on billboards! So sorry i have been so behind on your pics! i have been sick and swamped with paperwork..hope all is well! :)
@fueast Ah well, I'm not going to change it. Originally it was a power to the graffiti artist elbow shot, now it's a lame tribute to some ad creative...
@sjodell Agreed! When my eldest pointed it out on the school run my first inclination was to think it was a set up, but he assured me it wasn't!! Still, it has provided a talking point thus far.
Oh yes, Sean! Very funny! Lets encourage whoever did that to deface a few more of these ads that treat us like morons! Do these ads work? Not for me they don't. Unfortunately you have now told me what go compare is so I will have to have part of my brain removed!
@tracywilliams I'm cool with it Tracy, though disappointed that one of my townsmen hasn't had the wit to do it, and more disappointed that the company themselves had to resort to parodying themselves to get publicity....
They are so dreadful that you remember them, clever advertising, I used their site and reduced the house insurance by over £1,000 this year!!! Great shot and really funny!!
