Today's word is.....in season

A close up of some lovely Kurly Kale. I just loved the colour in this. Bought from Mel's Greengrocery a short while ago, along with local potatoes and some chestnut mushrooms and a hand of Brussel Sprouts.

I must thank you all again for the wonderful response to my shot of Ben and his scars from Friday. It has featured on the PP and the Home Page and may yet turn out to be on eof my most successful photos ever. Your good wishes, love and support are something to cherish.

I am looking forward to eating this Kurly Kale tomorrow with a joint of Roast Pork. Rebecca's mum and dad are joining us for sunday lunch.
It's a great green!! Green and blue are my favourite colours and I just love how vibrant this is. As for your brussel sprouts... blurgh, you may keep those to yourself lol.

@ozziehoffy ;)) I can't stand Brussels either, unless pan fried with salty butter and bacon to mask the taste!!

Terrific shot! Like the canopy of a rainforest from the air! - well almost. Very clever pov. Enjoy it with your roast, so good for you ( just like Guinness) :)

Great colour and texture. You can eat my share of brussels too... those things are nasty (in my opinion). Ha ha. Enjoy your dinner!!

love the colors of the kale - interesting that we both took pictures of food we were buying...:0) - i don't like Brussels either; when the kids were little, i froze 10 lbs worth and no one in the family would eat - that was probably 30 years ago and i don't think i've had one since!

@seanoneill hahah see, I don't get that.... why mask the flavour if you don't like them... just don't eat them!
