I've not a lot of time today, having watched England v India (cricket) all morning, and we have family with us this afternoon.
It was time to think of taking a photo for making our annual Christmas card. These wooden carol singers are from Germany, and are one of our favourite Christmas decorations, so this may become our 2012 Christmas card.
So, a bit rushed but its OK. I may have a go at some other shots this evening if time permits.
Lovely. Great composition and a nice original idea. I am trying to decide what to do for ours. The training for a donkey wearing a Santa hat isn't going too well.
Very creative idea to set these little characters up with a reflection! How nice that you make your own personalised Christmas cards each year, hope I'm on your list!
I like this! Our British friends would always poke fun at our family photo that makes up our christmas cards. "That's so American!" they would say. So is that still the case? Or are family photos as Christmas cards catching on over there yet?
@cmc1200 Yes it is still the case Caryn, we receive 2 cards from the USA, both with family shots on, and at first it did make us smile. We don't do that here yet, but understand that it is a tradition in the USA.
Help, still trying to catch up while the lunchtime soup is cooking!! I think this would make a lovely Christmas card.........I love traditional 'proper' wooden tree ornaments........beautiful
I recognize them !
On our Christmas market we have a splendid huge shop, sellers are coming from Germany and they sell those wooden decorations, they are so well done, hand curved, hand painted....beautiful craft !
Also I thought I was following you but apparently not.....I'll put it right now :)
