So kind of these 2 people and their dog to walk in synch for me.
We are very good at labelling people based on what they are doing.
We label joggers, workmen, commuters, shoppers, drivers, cyclists, family picnickers, buskers... even us photographers, and the list goes on ad infinitum.
I particularly like the label, "Dog Walker" because it implies a sense of altruism on the part of the human participants.
There are many dog walkers at another place. A shot missing from my time there is a dog cocking its leg against one of the statues.
Superb b/w. What caught my eye was the walkers and the dogs legs, they are crossed in exactly the same way, I felt it pulled them together. Nice catch.
love the high key of this shot Sean, a great b/w with all the detail of couple, dog & then those weird solitary figures standing in the sea ( which I love incidentally but give me the creeps)!
Love the composition and those statues make a fantastic backdrop. There are a few in Edinburgh, I must hunt through my Polaroids as I know I have some somewhere!
What I love is that they are holding each other (or at least her holding onto him). I just talked about hand holding and how important it is in my post the other day. We don't do it much anymore (crazy season of life) and I am determined to be an old couple like this someday.
but especially love the comment!
