I spotted this across Tegernsee while we were in Bavaria.
It ticked 2 boxes for me. The forst is that I love Bavarian churches and Maypoles (more to follow!!) and the second is that they are often placed against great contrasting backgrounds for us snappers!
Great image and framing, Sean. We love those churches too, with their pencil spires and white towers. I'm over 70 now and generally don't like driving so far. But in the 70s and into the 80s we travelled by car to Bavaria and Austria many times. This is not so far from Kufstein, Garmisch, Füssen, Neuschwanstein, etc. etc. We visited all those and more. Love the area and the exquisite architecture! Thanks for reviving those memories.
This is fantastic Sean.... composition, light, processing, presentation. Fav! Makes me smile though about my research into buying a new lens.. all that criticism of vignetting and the lack of edge and corner sharpness!
