Bavaria~5

The church at St. Florian near Prien in Chiemgau, Bavaria.

Churches were definitely in my list of shots to get when we were in Bavaria, and I spotted this one in the distance on our way back from Herrenchiemsee. I waited for a clear morning and then made a special trip to photograph it. I rarely take a photo that excites me when I review it, but I confess that I adore this one viewed large.

I will put the colour version in my other album.

Thank you to everyone for the generoisty of comments on my shot sof Berlin and Bavaria so far. I do appreciate them so much. I will catch up with you all soon. After 3.5 weeks away I have returned to a whole heap of work and lots of cricket commitments.

A final congratulations to the England cricket team for winning the Ashes in dramatic circumstances yesterday. A great series thus far, and I have to say, a very close series where we could easily be losing 3-1 instead of winning 3-0.
I have looked at both Sean and I cannot decide - they are both stunning in their own right - this one is so stark - i love the empty feeling

Totally agree about the performance of the English cricket team and the unexpected nature of last night's win. It's good to see two so evenly matched sides going up against each other.

I cannot decode which version I like best! Hmmm.....I think the color one....it gave it more depth that maybe the b and w does not have
