On one of the hottest days I have ever known, where the mercury was touching 40 degrees, we trundled off up the motorway to see the football at the Allianz Arena in Munich.
Built fo rthe 2006 World Cup this really is an amazing stadium. Half of it is below ground level!
Those of you who know me, will know how much I love my sport. This extends to having a strong affinity with TSV Munich 1860 which has grown in the years I have visited Munich. As they say in Munich, Einmal Lowen, immer Lowen, or Once a Lion, always a Lion.
So off we went to see their first game of the season. They read the script fo rme and won 2-1, scoring the winner with the last kick of the game. It brought a tear to my eye!
What an incredible stadium... I'm even wondering whether you've 'done a bulldog' with a tyre and some little people...!! :) Must have been amazing to be inside - wow!
This looks like a big tire. Very different to what I'm used to seeing as a stadium here.
