Rebecca is still away, so us 3 boys had a few jobs to do in Loughborough before an afternoon out. We set off for Burton upon Trent to watch a lower league football match between Burton Albion and Fleetwood Town along with 2400 other hardy souls. The game was delayed by an hour by the most torrential thunderstorm just before the scheduled kick off. So, we sat and froze in the stand for an hour longer than need be, then watched a 6 goal thriller, before warming up at a very good curry house in Repton on the way home.
I took my camera ino the ground, but the light was so bad that it was difficult to shoot anything at all! Here is a shot of some distant silos shot handheld at 1/50 a second and ISO640, that I spotted through a gap in the stands!
I'm guessing that there may be some kind of beer making ingredient in them there silos. Us Brits are such suckers for punishment when it comes to the "great outdoors"
Great negative space in this, and they almost look menacing. My husband was playing rugby in that storm, the hail actually left pelt marks on his arms!
It sounds like we are both a bit masochistic in our outdoor activities. Sometimes we need to stand a bit of discomfort to do the things we like. Good eye to see this while concentrating on a different activity. Clever composition to emphasize the height of the silos with more height in the photo.
