Loughborough backstreets ~ 9

The Perfic Plaice Fish and Chip shop on the corner of Wharncliffe Rd and Selbourne Street in Loughborough.

Doffing it's hat at Pa Larkin though sadly misspelling perfick in the process!

I have to say that whilst I have to be in the mood for Fish and Chips, it is my favourite meal, especially when eaten out, with tea in an earthenware teapot, bread and butter, mushy peas and lashings of salt and vinegar.

I'm glad to be back in my comfort zone, yesterday's shot was just not me! Still it taught me that my next investment shouldn't be a whizzbang studio lighting kit with softboxes etc, but new lenses for the XPro-1.
Beautiful scene. Love the high contrast b&w. Fav

I love this, it has a Northern gritty feel to it, at least it does to me, and now I fancy some good, out of newspaper swimming in grease fish and chips :-)

Your comfort zone certainly gives us some brilliant photographs, Sean. I love this, but you must have passed through a time-warp to get it ! Hope you have got back OK!

I really like the low pov with the road in the foreground and the gritty feel to it. Did you see the announcement on new fuji lenses today?
January 28th, 2014
@cazla no I didn't, saw the new camera, what's the lens news? Glad you like this btw.

Love the sign, but I think I prefer the lower, wider PoV of the alternate version.

I like this equally. Does give a northern gritty feel I think. Back time view for me. Nice capture of all those doors and windows.

@ivan They are made in Leicester Ivan. I had never heard of them before I moved up here 33 years ago, but I confess to having had one or two since!!
