A trip into Loughborough early this morning for new tyres (ouch, see 4th album!) gave me the opportunity for a quick walk around a part of the town that I haven't visited yet in this series.
I spotted this interesting wall a couple of weeks ago so it has been on the list, and is 2 minutes walk from Kwik Fit.
On the junction of Fennel Street and Toothill Road I have been drawn to the windows and drainpipes on the wall, and thought they would make a worthy addition to my Loughborough backstreets series.
Still cold, wet and horrible here, off to see the Tigers in the rain tonight, and then off to London tomorrow, in the gales force winds and hopefully sunshine to see Southampton and then to see Twelve Angry Men.
The pipes look like a tree, or ivy, ha, love that fact you make us look at things differently, who would have thought some old pipes would be so photogenic. My daughter told me a storm was coming, all calm in Essex, fingers crossed it continues.
I always need to analyze curiosities like this. I'll bet the building was retrofitted to add water and sewer, so the drains were routed to the outside. It made an interesting pattern and a good B&W subject.
