Widmerpool Trees ~ 1 by seanoneill

Widmerpool Trees ~ 1

This is a new location for me. We rarely head out due east of where we live , but I have travelled through Widmerpool a few times recently.

Knowing what I like to shoot, Rebecca spotted these trees a few weks ago, and I have been waiting for the right moment to shoot them. Then yesterday, after I shot the Wansford Diner, I spotted some huge storm clouds approaching from the north west and decided to take a route home through WIdmerpool to see what these trees looked like. I was lucky to see dark clouds behind them and have the sun behind me lighting the field gently. I will post colour versions in my other albums.

Finally, I don't want February to end without thanking all my friends for the support and feedback on my shots so far this year. I am very happy with the way my style is evolving, and the support for my Loughborough Backstreets, New Covert, Clipstone, Wansford Diner and holiday shots has been a real boost for me. We have a tough month ahead with Ben's op rescheduled for March 11th, and 365 provides me with a very welcome distraction and motivation to get put with my camera.
really wonderful :)

The trees stand out from the background better in B&W. I like the even spacing and the feeling of the approaching storm.

They are like little broomsticks waiting to fly away with the wind. Lovely composition and great in b/w.

So simple, so effective. I'm just loving your shots, and totally agree about the way in which being out with one's camera can be a real de-stresser.

great timing to shoot these trees - saying this after having seen your later images with the dramatic clouds! I like this shot too - even the coluds hold interest here! :)

There's something so appealing about the spacing of those trees. This is a classic. Great find and capture.
I guess you're all relieved that Ben's got a date for his op. but that doesn't stop the stress of the waiting for it to happen. All the very best to him.
