You know when you have an itch that you need to scratch and can't quite find it? That is how the last couple of months have been for me!
I've been finishing off a business project and starting another one. The new project is all consuming but I now have a holiday where I can get some thinking done about it, and get my camera out again.
This was taken on our way to France last Thursday, which also happened to be Ben's 16th birthday. We often take a slow drive to Kent, then somewhere in France, before we end up at our destination. This year, we did Hastings, Dungeness and Sancerre, on our way to a small village between Poitiers and La Rochelle. Incidentally, Dungeness is Britain's only desert!
It has been a very busy few months with Sam finishing school, and Ben doing his GCSE exams. Now we have the nervous wait! In that time we've also been told by Ben's consultant that all is well, and we don't need to go back to see her for a year. To say that we are overjoyed is an understatement.
That itch I mentioned. I know I am approaching 1000 photos in my main album, and being a bloke, I like milestones, so I couldn't disappear with that milestone within touching distance!! I can't say that I will be anything more than a 365 Casual from now on, popping in from time to time, staying a while, then disappearing again. I guess I will only post when I feel I have something worth sharing.
Good to see you again Sean if only to see how you & your family are faring. Good that all is well with you & Ben is in great health...the most important thing!
A typical Sean shot with the fab sky & black & white presentation.
Enjoy your holiday & I hope we see a bit if it!
Alison and I were just saying that we hadn't seen any Sean shots for a while on a recent visit. Knew this was yours, had all your hallmarks! Great b/w and strong image against those clouds. Glad to hear good news on Ben and schooling progressing for both of them. Have a good holiday and regards to all.
Thank You for the FAV and I just love lighthouses, but you said this is a desert and so why a lighthouse? Or maybe this isn't a lighthouse at all? What ever it is, I like it and would love to be at the top and taking photos from there!! Great in B/W and makes me wonder what the colors are!! FAV!
Congrats on 1000 picts (I like numbers too) and enjoy your vacation!
