Thursday Seattle had torrential rainfall plus blustery winds. The storm eliminated the haze that has shrouded the Olympics for the past weeks. Yesterday the peaks of the Olympics were visible even though Seattle was overcast. This shot was taken looking west from Beach Drive in West Seattle. This is just a small portion of the Olympic Mountain Range.
Such beautiful snow caps and really like the slightly darker shade of mountains under them!! I so miss our mountains in AK. We have just the very end of The Applellation Mountains (more like hills) Gorgeous composition and a very clear capture!! FAV!
Beautifully composed - love the light hitting the peaks and the touches of snow on them. That ship just balances things nicely. Great spot. Glad your storm had a good ending.
I've enjoyed viewing your beautiful nature photos. It is fun following others from around the U.S. and seeing through their lens the many scenes we in Indiana are not familiar with.
