Living on the Edge

It always amazes me how cormorants place their feet on the edge of a swaying piling and stay balanced. This guy was enjoying Seattle's Sunday sunshine. Thanks for your visits. Enjoy your day.

Neat close-up of this bird. He does have two circlets on his legs so must be a well known one!

I've never noticed the detail on the cormorant's feathers - and what cool feet he has - will have to pay more attention next time my husband tells me that's what he is (never catch him close enough to really get to recognize him easily) Terrific shot.

What a superb close-up you've captured here Gloria and you've really brought out the feather textures in the wings... this is a Fav for me.

Great, detailed close up. Fascinating formation in the bird's wing plumage and strange to see webbed feet with almost prehensile toes.
