There are about ten different types of clouds with different names. I hope this is the right choice for this cloud shot that was taken a couple of days ago: "Cumulonimbus clouds are one of the few clouds that span the low, middle, and high layers. They resemble the cumulus clouds from which they grow, except they rise into towers with bulging upper portions that look like cauliflower. Cumulonimbus cloud tops are usually always flattened in the shape of an anvil or plume. Their bottoms are often hazy and dark."
TYF the cloud info, fascinating. In our neck of the woods we don't have such a vista...and as you know we do have a forest...not really comparable. So interesting to see and learn about Nature's wonders elsewhere.
Great capture
I've always had a fascination with Cumulonimbus and timelapse photography and have been able to play with it for the past few day, but from the north end of the Olympics (Sequim). Just watch them grow.
