Perhaps one of you knows the name of this tree. The blooms were fresh and ready for a photo. This shot was taken a couple of days ago while I was walking down to Lowman Park. Thanks for stopping by.
A fabulous capture of these beautiful flowers. Love the pincushion like centres and fresh green. Sorry I cannot help with the identification. What camera are you using Gloria, do you still use a bridge camera?
I see folks have already told you it's a Dogwood Tree- keep your eyes on the blossoms. They will develop little red spots by the center which have in years past made the tree a symbol of the Easter story. Four petals like the points on the cross, a crown in the center for the crown of thorns and little drops of blood where Christ was nailed to the Cross. A lovely symbol of Spring and Sacrifice. Beautiful shot!
That is a dogwood tree. We had them in our previous yard...2 white and 2 pink. But they don’t grow well here so have to be happy looking at our old photos.
