I'm confused!! by shirleybankfarm

I'm confused!!

So are my little daffodils!!! These little bulbs are supposed to flower in Spring yet I have these two in full flower now in the snow. They haven't been indoors at all and the pot is not sheltered. Or maybe I have been hibernated and it is spring and a late snow ha ha!!!
Great shot! Poor things don't know it they are coming or going! lol

Not surprised they're confused. There were some out in the garden here on the 5th December - never known that happen before. However, in the snow, they are a lovely bright reminder that spring is getting closer.

They are too Shirley! Isn't it odd seeing daffodils out at this time of year? Snow too, daffodils at Christmas!

A very welcome surprise I would think, they look lovely amongst the snow :)

You need to knit a woolly jumper for them.

I wonder if they will bloom again in the spring.

I have seen daffs in flower down here in the open ground but it must be mild for them to flower up there!

@memoriesbydawn @flowerfairyann @gijsje @bkbinthecity @cutekitty @dizzyd @happypat @hermann @terryliv @tunia @tonydebont @peterlgrave @milaniet @kimdavis @lavenderhouse Thank you all for you comments. The snow has all gone now and the flowers are still blooming nicely. I have known them be in flower in the spring and survive snow but not to flower in December. It has been very mild here until this shower of snow. I think we have only had one night of frost up to now.

The weather is strange alright. our weather forecast predicts more rain with mild temperatures. green Christmas this year unless the rain will turn to snow the last minute. I don't think the snow will harm your daffodils unless we get frost. this picture will be a reminder for you in years to come. will fav it.

@bruni We are also forecast wind rain and mild weather. My little Daffodils have survived the snow and a night of frost. It is lovely to see them, they make me think spring is coming.
