B/W 15 of 15

Red Crab Apple blossoms. When I woke this morning and looked out our kitchen window, the light was catching these blossoms beautifully. I ventured out and took numerous photos and liked this one the best. I've enjoyed the 15 days of b/w, but I am glad that it is over. I will still post some on occasion as I have in the past. Thank you for all your great comments during the past 15 days!
I'm a fan of color, but it is good for the eye to work on the B&W.
Did you use a gradient for the background or is that natural?

@tigerdreamer- That is natural.The dark above is shade from a lilac bush and the lime green is from the sun on the grass.

@kerristephens - Thank you Kerri!

Just above the flower centre is a dark area that looks like it has two little eyes peering out of it...kind of cute!
Your 15 days of b&w have been very enjoyable.

@lynnb - I just noticed that myself. They don't show up as my in color. I am glad you have enjoyed them. With Spring finally arriving I was kicking myself for deciding to do a series in b/w with all the beautiful colors!

@sparkle - I haven't been very active myself. My schedule has changed dramatically this year and I haven't been able to view and comment as I would like. I am glad that you have enjoyed my 15 days of b/w. Since I posted a number in sepia I think I should have used 15 days of monochrome instead.
