Surprise

The prophet Isaiah lived in the 8th century. His name means “YHWH (the LORD) is salvation.” Isaiah prophesied the words, "For Unto Us A Child is Born Unto Us a Son is Given", between 740-681 BC. Almost one-third of the chapters of the book of Isaiah contain prophecies about Jesus Christ.
When God sent His Son to earth in the form a human child it took most by surprise! Living under Roman oppression who would have thought that the Messiah would save His people as a baby instead of a conquering hero.
