Amish laundry day by skipt07

Amish laundry day

As you drive down a road in an Amish community you are likely to see a sight like this. The laundry hung out to dry. Many times a pulley is attached high on a structure or in a tree and the laundry is hoisted to the apex and left to dry. As I looked at some of the work of Max Dupain I felt he wanted to record the common everyday happenings in people's lives. My attempt to show some of the ways of the Amish. this is a great capture Skip. I love how you captured the clothes blowing in the wind.... God's dryer

@dmdfday - Thank you very much Diane! You should see them in the winter when they are freeze dried. I imagine putting a piece of clothing that was hanging on a line after being out in sub-freezing temperatures.
