I attempted to get the stairwell a year or two ago and failed. This year our two daughters and two of our grandchildren made their way to the top. All 214 steps 158 feet. I asked for permission to take a shot which they made me sign in for. I was greatly pleased with this attempt!

@maggiemae - They charge a fee to climb to the top. The money goes to maintenance of the lighthouse, the keeper's house and grounds. I didn't have to pay the fee, but I did have to sign in.

@stownsend - This is looking up Suzie which was somewhat hard to do as there is a large "basin" of some sort right in the center of the stairs which has water in it and makes it hard to lean in over the edge to shoot up. Maybe next time I'll climb the stairs and shoot down.
