International Fanny Pack Day by spanishliz

International Fanny Pack Day

I went through a stage of wearing these (aka "bum bags") in the late '90s and early 2000s - internationally, too, as these were taken in England, Spain and Scotland! My Mum is with me in both middle pics, and our friend Elaine is between us in the bottom one.
Great collage, still use them now and then, you have your hands free and the weight is on your hips in stead of your shoulders!

@jacqbb I always had a tendency to let them get too full, and make me look fatter than I am! :)

I remember being hugely amused when we first went to Canada to live, when I saw a sign in a shop saying 'fanny warmers'. I was surprised to see that they were extra long sweaters. Fanny has a whole other meaning in the UK!

@sprphotos Thank you! @busylady I know! My Mum was an English war bride, who went through a few amusing episodes with language when she arrived in Canada. She enjoyed telling the stories.
