i don't know why, but i just have a thing for japanese or chinese blue and white. i used to have a full set of blue willow china, complete with serving pieces and knick knacks. when my nephew got married ten years ago, he asked for the set as his wedding gift. so that's what he got. ex-partner wasn't very excited about my blue willow collection so he was quite happy when i got rid of it. now i think he probably had a hand in that transaction. hmmm....interesting!
but i held off on my delft vase which i now use as holder for my umbrellas. and a few delft blue bowls which i collected when i used to live in bruxelles. but from digging in my boxes, i found a few chinese bowls and saucers that i'm pretty sure would be handy as props!
thank you for your kind visits and comments, as well as your very generous favs on the lily yesterday, as well as the previous days; know that they are greatly appreciated.

ah, yes, the album cover challenge. there were only a handful of entries but i'm having a hard time choosing. but it will come, people are still busy with other challenges.
I like that you found some suitable straw mat type things (sorry for the description) as a backdrop. Most fitting. This reminds me of my trip to Hong Kong at the start of my first ever job and buying these bowls to bring back. Also, I looked up delft and now wonder if the big bowl of my Mothers is the same. Will have to look more carefully next time I visit.
A fav.
