First Snowdrops by susiemc

First Snowdrops

It's a very gloomy, grey day today but it cheered me up when I spotted this little clump of snowdrops at the side of the lane when I was walking with Millie. They're the first ones I've seen this year.

Having finally caught up after our week away at Christmas and our weekend in Lincoln I'm away again for a couple of nights. Brighton this time.
Mine are just coming through Sue...always brightens me up too

Always a sign of promise. I always look forward to seeing the first swallows return in April. The daffodils are about 6-8 weeks behind last season here. We had some daffs out at the end of Nov 2015. At Anglesey Abbey they will not be out until February and those in our garden are weeks away.
