Charlotte Having Fun

I came across these roller skates while clearing the loft recently. I don't know which of my girls they belonged to but Charlotte doesn't care. They fit her and that's all that matters. I was able to take them when I went to visit.
I recently came across an old box of slides which contained photos taken by my father some 50 years ago of my sisters and me playing. It was a pleasant shock to see ourselves so young and carefree again. These type of photos are a family's social history, and who knows in 50 years time she too might find this image and smile again at the memory.

@ptarmy I totally agree with you Andy. We're moving soon and I've been clearing and sorting lots of stuff. I've come across many interesting photos, among other things. One thing that concerns me is that we no longer have prints so how do these photos get handed down. For this reason I intend to do photobooks. I'm about to retire and that's one of my retirement projects.

@gijsje She looks so happy doesn't she.

@beryl Charlotte always smiles for photos.

@chimfa She loves them and yes she still has that lovely smile.

@onewing Although it's tiring clearing out the loft it's fun when you find interesting stuff.

@cruiser You'll see more of Charlotte and my other grandchildren Chris. Charlotte always has a beautiful smile.

@foxes37 Thanks Lis. Yes she does.

@susiemc Hi sue one way is to shoot with film, the negatives are a hard copy, and if in future technology changes you still have a format which can be used. Things like p/shop and J.peg are licensed products which can be super-ceded quickly. eg VHS,BETAMAX etc. Negatives can still be copied and uploaded as normal.

@ptarmy I get your point Andy, it's a very good one but I could never go back to film photography, it doesn't suit the way I do things e.g 100 shots of birds to get a few good ones, that wouldn't work with film. I'll stick with my photobooks.

Lol, I cant fault your honesty, I semi cheat by seeing what the image is doing on my digital settings then when I'm happy I transfer to a film camera.
Hence what I post on here are mostly just practice shots.
