The warm sunny weather continues and today I went for a walk along the towpath of the Brecon and Monmouth Canal in the Brecon Beacons National Park. I started in Brecon where the canal actually ends and walked 2.5 miles out and 2.5 miles back. It was a lovely walk and the best thing about walking along a towpath is that it's flat.
What a nice walk. There are no people in your picture - was it a quiet day or did you just find a quick moment with no one on the trail to take your picture? It is such a lovely spot I would think it would be crowded.
@koalagardens Yes it was very peaceful. @gardencat Thank you, yes, I felt very good afterwards. @beryl Thank you Beryl, it was calm and peaceful......and flat 😁 @carole_sandford Thank you Carole. It was a very still day and the reflections were amazing.
@stownsend That’s an interesting point Suzie. For the first half mile or so of the walk there were lots of people, some with dogs, some on bikes, some just walking but you know how it is, as you get further and further from the car park the people get less and less until there are hardly any so it wasn’t difficult to get shots without anyone in them. Sadly most people don’t get to enjoy the best bits because they don’t walk far enough.
