Holy drinkers by swillinbillyflynn

Holy drinkers

It struck me as a bit odd to be sitting in a former Methodist Chapel in Bodmin having a meal and a beer. It has been converted into a very nice pub/restaurant but has retained many of it's original features.

I wonder what the Victorian craftsman who built these pews would make of them being used by us heathen rabble to discuss ungodly matters while quaffing large quantities of the demon drink.
Love the irony of it.

It amazes me how churches and chapels are being recycled. One local church is no an indoor climbing centre.

I don't think I'll suggest this to my Methodist pastor or I might be excommunicated! HaHa! This photo and story is really pretty cool. fav
