Jim and I ventured out on our own taking the ferry from Amalfi to Positano for a day trip. Another vertical town typical of this area, a 'wander about' meant climbing dozens of stairs as well as walking along cobblestone sidewalks. It was always colorful and usually packed with people.
I agree with @ggshearron and @rickster549. The stairs lead my eyes up and past the last person I can see. The view of the trees at the end of the walkway makes me wonder what is beyond.
Positano was one of our favourite places when we stayed in Sorrento. I know exactly where you stood to take this and made me smile a huge smile of memories. Certainly not a place for the fainthearted to walk!
