Fort Knox

I know I said that today would be pictures of the inside, but I finally sorted through all my pictures of this excursion and decided to throw up this one as well.

As you can see this is the front door to the Futuro. As mentioned before people often go in these and take pictures. That is because it seems as though there is no way to actually lock these doors, or rather the locks and door handles were poor quality and quickly broke. So now most of these use the set up you see here of a branch or pole holding the door shut and wire tying it and the door closed and tying the other end of the branch to the balcony railing.

I will show you some pictures of the insides of a few of these, but all of these were taken through the windows. Luckily some of them were missing windows which allowed easier picture taking. This one right here actually is in pretty good quality inside with a stocked kitchen, fresh linen on the beds, tv, etc. but i wasn't able to take any good pictures through the dirty windows.

If you are interested in seeing what a well maintained one looks like, you can look it up on the internet. If you look up "Peggie Scott Flickr" and click on her Wanli pictures, you can see the inside of this Futuro and how well maintained it is. Thanks to her, even though i have no idea who she is, as seeing her pictures before I went, really helped me to not feel the need to go in here myself and take a look around.
