You Are What You Eat

Well it's official, I'm old. I could have sworn I already wrote about this picture, but looking back i couldn't find it. Well if this is a repeat I apologize. If it's not, than yay I'm not senile!

This is the trash truck. In taiwan you have to take your trash out to the street and wait for the trash truck and recycle truck to come by and then put your trash in the truck. The trucks come to your neighborhood at a special time twice a day and it plays a little jingle so you know it's near.

In the picture you can see four canisters and there is a blue sign and a green sign. The blue sign says "for pigs" the green sign says "for vegetables" What is this? Well when you cook and eat your food you have to save the remains in two different bags, one is for compost, the other is left over cooked food that pigs can eat.

Yes the pigs in Taiwan are all fed from human's left over food. So they eat your trash, you eat them, you put the uneaten pork left overs in the canister, they eat their cousins... the cycle continues.

Who wants pork chops!
