The subway system in Taipei is quite nice. You are not allowed to eat or drink on the subway, so they are all very clean.
They do have free public wifi, however it's only inside the actual stations, so it turns off when you are between the stations.
And as you can see they have charging stations for you to plug in your computer or cellphone. This was very useful back when I was using my extremely old phone.
There is even a place to take a newspaper and leave a newspaper. It's all quite nice.
However I would gladly give up all of these things, for it to run 24 hours. As it is the last trains leave at midnight. They give a few reasons for it, but the fact is other cities do it, so they could to. Unless you are saying that you are not as good as other cities...
So while these other features are nice, I will not be won over just yet. Now if you want to make riding the subway free, I might change my tune.
