When the sun sets and the restaurants close, the above vendors pop up all around town. These are basically little stands that have a variety of food and you get a little bowl and pick out what you want and put it in the bowl, then hand the bowl to the worker. So far so good right?
But then the worker takes the food out of the bowl, chops it up, and then deep fries it in a vat of oil. Then after a few minutes, they take the food out, put it in little paper bags, and give you a long wooden stick to poke the food and and eat it.
So yes any chance of it being healthy is gone right out the window. And unfortunately this is one of the few choices you have to eat when the normal restaurants close for the night. However let's just skip ahead to the interesting stuff, the choices!
So on the top row you have a variety of vegetables, peppers, mushrooms, cauliflower, and on the top left is a flat potato thing that is quite tasty and of course unhealthy. the middle row has your various toss away parts of animals. with the most interesting part being the center which has chicken hearts and chicken butts.
the bottom row has some fried chicken, and some veggies wrapped in bacon. the ball things are different kinds of seafood that are left over and mushed together to make a ball. kind of a like a hot dog. and yes it tastes of unholy goodness just like a hot dog. The dark red thing i believe is popular snack that is congealed pig's blood. Another popular thing is pig's blood rice, which is congealed pig's blood with rice in it. I actually like this.
